Julia O'Neill
5TH GRADE (5A)
Julia is from North Attleboro and graduated from Bridgewater State University with her B.S. in Psychology in 2021. She had worked as a receptionist in the medical field during the pandemic and has experience working with students of all ages as a substitute teacher, preschool teacher, and nanny. Julia enjoys traveling, cooking, and baking for her friends and family, and spending time with her three cats!

Kristen Munns
5TH GRADE (5B)
Kristen Munns is a fifth-grade teacher at the Learning Community. Kristen graduated from the American College of Education with her M.E.d in Curriculum and Instruction and earned the title of Distinguished Graduate. Kristen also attended Bridgewater State University in which she double majored in Elementary Education and History. Previously, Kristen taught second grade and sixth grade in Massachusetts. Kristen lives in Woonsocket with her husband and daughter. In her free time, she can be found reading, traveling, and hiking with her three dogs!

Kirsten Shrout Fernandes
5TH GRADE (5C)
Kirsten spent seven years at the Learning Community as a 4th grade teacher and Instructional Coach before stepping away to spend more time with her family. In her over 20 years as an educator, Kirsten has been a classroom teacher, an instructional coach and content specialist, and as a school leader focused on anti-bias anti-racist work. She is so happy to be back in the classroom because she loves the sense of community and partnership she gets to build with her students and their families. Kirsten is passionate about empowering her students and helping them become advocates for themselves and the issues that are important to them. When Kirsten isn't in the classroom, she is busy cheering on her three children in their favorite activities, snuggling with her dog, and visiting her husband at their family's restaurant in Woonsocket.
